This property was leased by the Waters family from the Lombard descendants from before Griffith Valuation times (See headstone CO-KSNG-0227 Newberry/Kilshannig in www.historicgraves.com). It was sold to Thomas Coleman who was a teacher in Glantane in c.1925 and this teacher did tremendous work in ensuring that the school pupils completed many articles for the NS Folklore Collection of 1937. It was bought by the Condon family who sold it on to the Aherne family.
