This is a Parnell Cottage with a rear extension and was built in c 1900. In 1922 it was used by the state as a Garda Barracks before Glantane Garda Barracks was built. The O Connell family moved in when it vacated by the Gardai and one of these, Micky O Connell, won All Ireland Senior hurling medals with Cork in the 1990’s.
